How staking works in BombCrypto
What it means to lock BCOIN and SEN on a hero, how the withdrawal fee decreases over time, and how to read the stake rankings.
Last updated: 2026-06-13Staking, in BombCrypto, is the act of locking BCOIN or SEN tokens on a specific hero to increase the rewards it generates. It's one of the core mechanics of the game's economy and the basis for several rankings we publish. This guide explains how it works on-chain.
The basic concept
Each hero has its own stake balance, separated by token (BCOIN and SEN). You deposit an amount into the hero; that value stays tied to it and boosts the rewards it produces in game mode. Staking isn't a bet — it remains yours and can be withdrawn later.
Deposit and withdrawal
- Deposit: you approve the token once and then deposit the desired amount into each hero. Each deposit is a transaction you sign.
- Withdraw: you can withdraw the locked balance at any time, but the withdrawal pays a fee calculated by the contract.
- The withdrawal fee decreases the longer the stake stays on the hero — incentivizing you to keep the value locked for longer.
The contract computes the withdrawal fee based on how long the stake has been sitting. Right after depositing, the fee is higher; as days pass, it drops progressively until it reaches zero. So withdrawing right after depositing is usually disadvantageous.
Staking and rarity
Higher-rarity heroes tend to make better use of stake, generating more reward per locked token. That's why the largest stakes on the network concentrate on Legend heroes and above — and that's exactly what our per-rarity rankings make visible.
How to read the stake rankings on the site
- Stake ranking per hero: lists the heroes with the most locked BCOIN or SEN, split by rarity and network. Useful to see where capital is concentrated.
- Stake ranking per wallet: aggregates each wallet's total stake, showing the game's biggest investors.
- Consolidated ranking: merges BSC and Polygon heroes into a single per-rarity view.
- You can toggle between BCOIN and SEN, since the two tokens are staked separately.
The Maestro tool lets you deposit or withdraw stake across many heroes at once, with a single token approval and one signature per hero. Before withdrawing, it shows the estimated withdrawal fee so you can decide whether it's worth it.
Burning (fusing or destroying) a hero with active stake makes you lose the value locked on it. Always withdraw the stake before burning a hero. The site's tools warn you when a selected hero has stake.
