BombCrypto hero rarities, explained
The ten rarities, each tier's stats, and the real minting probabilities according to the game's contract.
Last updated: 2026-06-13Rarity is a hero's most important trait in BombCrypto: it sets the base stat ranges, the number of abilities and, to a large extent, the market value. This guide explains the ten rarities, what changes between them and the real odds of each when you mint.
The ten rarities
From most common to rarest, the tiers are: Common, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Legend, Super Legend, Mega, Super Mega, Mystic and Super Mystic. The first six can come directly from minting; the four higher ones (Mega onward) are obtained by fusing heroes.
Stats by rarity
Each rarity sets the range within which the main stats are rolled at mint. The values below reflect the base configuration of the game's design contract for the six mint tiers. Power, Speed and Stamina are rolled within the range; Bomb count and Range grow at a fixed amount per tier.
| Rarity | Stamina | Speed | Power | Bombs | Range | Abilities |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Common | 1–3 | 1–3 | 1–3 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
| Rare | 3–6 | 3–6 | 3–6 | 2 | 2 | 2 |
| Super Rare | 6–9 | 6–9 | 6–9 | 3 | 3 | 3 |
| Epic | 9–12 | 9–12 | 9–12 | 4 | 4 | 4 |
| Legend | 12–15 | 12–15 | 12–15 | 5 | 5 | 5 |
| Super Legend | 15–18 | 15–18 | 15–18 | 6 | 6 | 6 |
The higher tiers (Mega, Super Mega, Mystic, Super Mystic) extend these ranges upward and are only reached by fusing four heroes of the tier immediately below.
Minting probabilities
When you mint a random-rarity hero, the contract draws the tier using fixed weights. In the observed configuration, the weights are proportional to these values: Common 8287, Rare 1036, Super Rare 518, Epic 104, Legend 52, Super Legend 4. Converted to percentages:
| Rarity | Weight | Approx. chance |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 8287 | 82.86% |
| Rare | 1036 | 10.36% |
| Super Rare | 518 | 5.18% |
| Epic | 104 | 1.04% |
| Legend | 52 | 0.52% |
| Super Legend | 4 | 0.04% |
Theory vs. practice: why we see nearly 96% Common
Here's an analysis only possible with on-chain data. The theoretical chance of Common is ~82.86%, but when we measured thousands of real mints on the network, the observed share of Commons reaches around 96%. The difference isn't a contract bug — it's player behavior.
Minting has a limited processing window (explained in detail in our minting guide). Players who wait too long to process the request let the random seed expire, and the contract then forces Common rarity. In other words: many of the Commons appearing on the network weren't rolled as Common — they were downgraded by delay. Processing the mint quickly preserves the real odds of the better tiers.
If you mint in batches, process each block right after confirming. BombCrypto Analytics' Maestro tool auto-processes, preventing your heroes from being downgraded to Common by expiry.
Drop weights and stat ranges are configurable by the game team and may change. The values above reflect the observed contract configuration and serve as reference, not a permanent guarantee.
